I am really sorry, but the website that I usually checked to see the future releases has not been uploading. In addition to that, my computer crashed as well, so no new countdowns until I fix my computer, sorry.

Sorry for not posting last week, I was really busy studying for my exams.

OMG! I am so happy for school food punishment making it to the TOP 10! I love their new single, “future nova/after laughter”, esp. “after laughter”. This is their first time to make it to the TOP 10 and at #6, CONGRATGULATIONS!
This week we see Yusuke with “Lion” take the #1 spot. I haven’t heard the song yet, so I don’t have much to say about this week’s #1. Arashi falls to the #2 spot, and ikimono gakari debuts at #3. I Haven’t heard #4’s or #5’s songs yet. I hate #7, #8 is ok, not that much of a good song, #9 is a great song, and #10 can go to hell, I f*ckin hate that song.

Of course a Johnny's single has to be first, so I won't go into depth with this week's #1 single. I am surprised though that Tsubasa Imai, from the duet Tacky & Tsubasa, had released a single! I see that Kana Nishino's single made it #3 on Oricon which I am very happy about. In addition, Erina Mano came in at #5 which I thought could have came at a higher position since it is a really good song. Then again, not much promotion was done to try to sell the single (for example, it has not been featured on music channels like M-ON, Space Shower and VMC). I do like CHiAKi KURiYAMA's single, Kii Kitano's single but not so much Minori Chihara's. I still do not understand how that AWFUL #6 song is still charting on the top ten. That song sucks, I hate music that is supposed to be funny!

Looks like AKB48 destoryed the single charts with their new single "Sakura no Shiori". Personally I am not a big fan of the song, I do like AKB48 so CONGRATS! Currently, the single has had the highest debut sales (or first day) for 2010, beating TVXQ's single "BREAK OUT!" and KAT-TUN's "Love Yourself~Kimi ga Kirai na Kimi ga Suki"! I hope they can continue getting higher sales so they can become #1 on they weekly, monthly, or even yearly charts!


On the albums chart, Tohoshinki (TVXQ) (DBSK) destroyed the album charts with their album "Best Selection 2010". Although I do not like "BEST OF" albums, I do like TVXQ so CONGRATS to them! They achieved their first #1 album on the daily charts, Lets hope that they can achieve their first #1 on the weekly charts or even monthly!

Brian Joo because the first K-POP artist to hit #1 on my chart! Congrats!Morning Musume seems to hang on with 3 videos, Nanchatte Renai is on its 37th week on my chart (Yes I am still listening to this song, LOVE IT!). After 24 weeks, AKB48 with "RIVER" finally chart off. Many songs are either not moving up as much or are dropping really quick! Mano Erina moves up from #17 to the #3 spot! I think "Haru no Arashi" is a really good song.

I uploaded this countdown a bit early because I will be busy this weekend. On Monday (feb. 8) will be going to see UTADA HIKARU LIVE!!!!! I'm sooooooooo excited, it has been my dream to go see Utada (Hikki) live. It will be in NYC which is about 40 mins from where I live and I used to live the city. On next week's countdown I might have some Hikki songs on because I have been listening to a lot of her songs starting lately. I guess I am really exicted to finally see her live!

Oricon: TVXQ makes history! Again! Oricon Chart for ending week of 02/08/10

Tohoshinki (TVXQ), with their single "BREAK OUT!", achieve the number 1 spot for the selling week of 02/08/10. Not only did they achieve thier 8th (or 7th, dont remember) #1 but the single has beaten a 12 year old record of the highest selling single by a foregin artist. They sold (according to Oricon) 255,917 copies! Congrats TVXQ!

aiko takes the #1 spot on the Oricon daily charts! Congrats aiko! The single Modorenai Ashita takes the #1 spot selling 22,046 copies. Hopefully she continues selling high for a 2nd #1 single on the weekly charts.

Track 1 (Haru no Arashi):
I though this track was amazing! This song has an upbeat tone to it and also has Eri's voice with low key. In the beginning of the song, it makes it seem like it was going to be a slow ballad because she starts of with a piano. After the piano, the song beings with an upbeat tone and continues till the end when she finishes off with the piano again. This is Erina's first Tsunku produced single and I have to say it turned out pretty well. The pv also matches the song really well.

Track 2 (Hello! Esper! Hello!):
"Hello! Esper! Hello!" is a very cheery song. Not my cup of tea, but for people who like happy yah songs, this song is for you. The track is used for the opening of Erina's show "Hanbun Esper".
